Chapter 12

"Its great to be talking with you too mom" Mia said sarcastically and rolling her eyes.
"How could you not tell me instead I hear it from your friend, Tiffany" Leslie said sounding furious.
"I am not friends with Tiffany. She is a bitch who was always jealous of me dating Kris. And how in the world did she find out I was pregnant anyway. The only people who knew are Kris, Sidney, Aunt Trina and Taylor".
"Tiffany said she was at a fund raising function for Sidney's foundation and Trina and Taylor were there and Taylor accidentally spilled your news to her. And I saw Tiffany and her mother out shopping here in Montreal where she told me that you were pregnant" Mia's mother explained exasperated.
Mia took a deep breath and sighed, "Now you know, mother, I am having a baby and its Kris's and this time I am making sure nothing stresses me out because I am carrying this baby to term".
"Mia Elizabeth is this really what you want? A baby with that hockey playing boyfriend who is not around all the time?" Leslie asked worriedly.
"Yes it is, mom. I love Kris and we are in this together forever and I love that he plays hockey and is amazing, wonderful, loving, and protective of me. So nothing you can say this time will bother me because I know what I have gotten myself into and I am ready for the challenge of motherhood with the perfect man. I love you mother so goodbye" Mia explained and leaned her head on Kris's shoulder.
"We shall talk later, darling. I love you, Mia. Goodbye" Leslie said and they both hung up their phones.

Mia dropped her cell phone down on the table next to the sofa and then snuggled back with Kris.
"I guess she found out about the baby" Kris stated rubbing Mia's back gently.
"Yes and from that bitch, Tiffany. Ugh she makes me so mad".
"Yeah she is not a good person. But Mia you need to chill for the baby's sake" Kris said and he felt Mia take a deep breath again and let it out.
"I know so let's forget her and talk about something more interesting" Mia suggested and Kris smiled and then kissed Mia's temple.
"Mia, how did this Tiffany person find out about the baby?" Sidney asked.
"Taylor accidentally said something to her and then Tiffany told my mom".
"Oh I am sorry that Taylor said something, Mia" Sidney said.
"I am not mad at Taylor and knowing Tiffany she probably was just fishing for gossip about me or Kris and poor Taylor was the victim".
"That definitely sounds like her fishing for trouble. She really is not worth any one's time. So let's go swimming and forget this whole mess" Mia said getting up and pulling Kris off the sofa.

They went and got ready to swim. They had fun splashing around and swimming. At one point Sidney and Kris had a cannonball contest to see who could make the bigger splash and they made Mia be the judge. Kris sweet talked Mia into voting for him and Sidney declared the event unfairly judged and that no one should win. It was fun and that is what Mia needed.


Later on that night when Mia and Kris were watching television in bed, she thought about how lucky she was to be Kris's wife and that was still a secret that was still being kept and would be revealed at the best time.

"Goodnight Kris" Mia said and he looked down at her and kissed her deeply.
"Bonne nuit my sweet Mia" Kris said.

Mia snuggled into Kris's strong arms and feel asleep extremely happy and loved by her hockey playing man.

Chapter 11

Morning came and Mia woke up facing Kris's strong chest and his arm holding her close. She reached up and touched his cheek gently and then traced his lips with her thumb and smiled to herself. Kris was perfect and wonderful and she loved him so much.

"Bonjour ma chérie" Kris said which surprised Mia from her thoughts.
"Bonjour, you scared me. I thought you were asleep still" Mia said and smiled.
"Sorry" Kris said and then leaned in for a kiss.
"Its fine. I love you" Mia said kissing Kris again and then Kris moved back on top of Mia. She slid her hands into his luxurious dark hair and welcomed the weight of Kris's strong body on top of hers.

Kris proceeded to make love to Mia again that morning. He went slow and gentle to make sure he loved her totally. Mia felt electric sparks everywhere Kris touched her. Their lovemaking was magical and wonderful, Kris knew where to kiss her, touch her and love her passionately. When Mia felt her orgasm hit her she cried out his name which made Kris feel his orgasm hit him too. They collapsed and calmed together in each others arms. Kris moved off of Mia and rolled onto his back.

"Kris" Mia said and moved so that she was leaning on his chest and looking down at him.
"Oui, ma chérie" Kris said in his adorable French accent that drove Mia crazy in a wonderful way.
"I love when you talk in French to me. It makes me love you so much more".
"Je t'aime darling en autant de façons. Votre cœur est beau et chaque fois que nous embrasser je sais combien tu m'aimes".
"Kris that was so beautiful and sweet and Je t'aime beaucoup. Now we really should get ready for the day besides laying in bed" Mia said.
"I think we should continue being lazy today and I can entertain you with my accent" Kris joked and Mia giggled.


Hunger finally got both Mia and Kris out of their room. They headed to the kitchen and made breakfast.

Sidney came in and smirked, "Well I see you two sleepy heads finally got out of bed this morning".
"Morning Sid and I bet you have done a million things already" Mia joked and Kris laughed too.
"Actually Mini, I have gone for a run, did my workout and had a phone interview".
"Sid, its no surprise you really are an amazing hockey player" Kris exclaimed.
"Thanks Kris and you are awesome too" Sidney joked and then headed out of the kitchen.

Later on Mia and Kris got ready for their day and then went for a walk around the neighborhood. They enjoyed each others company and no words were necessary. Everything seemed to be perfect and that was all Mia ever wanted.

That evening Mia, Kris and Sidney were all enjoying dinner when Mia's cell phone rang and she looked to see who was calling her, her mom.

"Hello mother, how are you?" Mia asked.
"Mia Elizabeth, why did you not tell me you were pregnant again and that Kris is the father!" exclaimed Leslie.

'Oh boy" Mia thought as she looked at Kris.

Chapter 10

Now that Mia and Kris's secret was revealed to Sidney, Mia felt big weight was off her shoulders and she could freely wear her rings as did Kris. But she also knew that telling her parents was gonna be a challenge because deep down they had been upset that she had been having sex at such a young age and that getting pregnant and miscarrying was a wake up call to realize she was not ready for parenthood. Now Mia realized that she was an adult married to the man she loved so who cares what her parents thought of Kris. He was sweet, loving and trustworthy and her husband and she was happy and that is all that mattered.

Mia was distracted from her thoughts by hearing her name being called from another room.

"Mia, where are you? Mia" Kris called from the den.
Mia walked into the den, "Here I am. What's up?" she asked walking over to the sofa where Kris was sitting and sat down next to him.
"I was just concerned because since you woke up this morning you have been so quiet. Is something on your mind?" he asked.
"There was something but I realized now that its nothing anymore so I am sorry for worrying you" she said and then gave Kris a quick kiss on the lips.
"Are you sure because we can talk about anything?" Kris said smiling at his beautiful wife.
"I am positive and I love you" Mia said snuggling into Kris's side. Kris put his arm around her shoulders and kiss the top of her head, "I love you too".

Sidney walked back into the den, "Hey Mini glad you decided to join us".
"Thanks Sid" Mia joked as Sidney put in a movie and started up the DVD player.


After the movie was over they decided to all go for a run because Sidney has told them they were being so lazy this morning so it was time to move their butts. Mia and Kris just laughed and then got ready for their run. It was kinda hot so after a little while Mia decided to slow down and walk. She also was getting slightly tired and since she was pregnant she needed to chill for her baby's sake. Kris realized this and slowed down to walk with Mia while Sidney went on ahead.

"You ok?" Kris asked as they walked along the street.
"I am fine and did not want to over do it because of the baby" Mia said patting her abdomen.
Kris just smiled and gave Mia's abdomen a quick pat too.

When they finally got back to the house they found Sidney cooling down in the kitchen.

"Hey guys" Sidney said offering Mia and Kris each a watch bottle.
"Thanks Sid" Mia said sitting down at the table.
"Merci Sid" Kris said sitting next to Mia.
"Why did you slow down Mini? Is there something wrong with your or the baby?" Sidney asked worriedly.
"No Sid, I just needed to take it easy and decided that a half run and half walk is best for me now" Mia explained.
"OK just so long as you and the baby are ok".
"We are fine".

After the movie Sidney had to leave for a late meeting with his agent so Kris looked at Mia and wiggled his eyebrows.

"What's wrong with your eye brows Tanger?" joked Mia as she tried to get out of Kris's grasp and then he pulled her onto his lap.
"Nothing is wrong with my eye brows" Kris said and then got up and threw Mia over his shoulder and walked them into their room. Kris then gently laid Mia on the bed and then crawled on top of her. He started kissing Mia's neck, "Oh wow, Kris" Mia moaned.

Then Kris slowly and gently helped Mia out of her shirt to reveal a very sexy pink bra and made Kris swear under his breath, "God Mia you make me crazy in a great way".
Mia giggled and then helped Kris out of his t shirt and then moved her hands over his broad chest and smiled. Then Kris unbuttoned Mia's jeans and she slipped then off and Kris laughed when he saw Mia's panties that had little hearts all over them. She laughed too, "Hey I thought they were cute so I had to get them". Kris then stood up and quick shed his jeans and then got back onto the bed and moved again on top of Mia.

Mia started playing with the band of Kris's boxer shorts and he quickly helped Mia out of her bra to expose her breasts. Kris gasped at how beautiful Mia was laying there on the bed. She looked like an angel that he was so in love with and was carrying his child.

"Mia, I love you so much" Kris said and then took off his boxers and Mia's panties and then caressed Mia's clitoris. Mia started to moan and squirm under Kris's body making him realize that she was ready for him to make love to her which he did. He gently slid inside of Mia and kissed her deeply on the lips. Kris then started to move and Mia followed his movements perfectly. Kris continued to make love to Mia and make sure she felt loved and cherished. Chapter 9

The rest of the week seemed to go by fast for Mia. She was busy working out with Sidney and making sure she was ready for Kris's visit. Sidney was also making sure that Mia was eating right for the baby's sake.

Sure enough it was Thursday night and Mia was freaking out because Kris would be there in the morning. Sid gently grabbed Mia's arm and steered her in the direction of her bedroom and said, "You need to relax so go and get your bathing suit on".
Mia did what she was told and got ready to go swim with Sidney.

Sidney and Mia were enjoying splashing around in the pool.

"Thank you Sidney, I so really needed this and I am sure everything will be fine for Kris's visit tomorrow" Mia said totally enjoying herself.
"Yeah, Mini, everything will be just fine and you were kind driving me crazy with getting my house ready for Kris" Sidney said laughing.
"Sorry Sid, I did not mean to drive you batty" Mia said apologetically.
"It's fine" Sidney said splashing Mia and she retaliated.


Friday morning Mia and Sidney were at the airport waiting on Kris's flight to arrive. Luckily it was a quiet morning and so no one was paying any attention to Sidney and he was grateful even though he did love his fans there are times when you want to just be a normal person. Mia was watching the flight arrival board and realized that Kris's flight had just landed and he would be there soon.

"His flight has landed" Mia said excitedly and was pacing because she could not wait to see Kris.
"Chill Mini" Sidney said giving Mia a look and she sat down.

A few minutes later Mia saw Kris coming down the escalator and Mia ran over and when he got off the escalator she jumped into his arms.

Kris caught Mia and hugged her close and then moved to give her a kiss on the lips.

"I have so missed you bunches" Mia said smiling at Kris.
"I have too sweetheart. Je t'aime" Kris said kissing Mia again.
"Hey will you too give it a rest already" Sidney joked and Kris set Mia down and then Kris and Sidney gave each other a guy hug.
"Its good to see you too Sid" Kris said.
"Yeah its great seeing you too, Kris" Sid said as they headed over to the luggage area. Sidney looked over at Mia and noticed some sparkling around her neck.
"Hey Mia what's this" Sidney said as he touched the ring. Mia realized that when she jumped on Kris the ring and popped out of its hiding place so she had to tell Sidney the truth.
"This is my engagement ring from Kris" Mia explained.
"So you two are engaged?" Sidney asked looking at Kris and Mia.
"I asked Mia when we were on vacation in Bermuda so it was before we knew she was pregnant" Kris said.
"Why were you keeping it a secret? I don't understand that" Sidney said sounding upset as he looked at Mia.
"Because I decided that my pregnancy was enough news for now" Mia said as Kris put his arm around her shoulders.
"That makes sense but still Mia you knew this and you know I am good at not saying anything" Sidney said getting angry.
"Sid, why are you getting so mad at Mia. She did want she felt was right for us so get over it" Kris said angrily and holding Mia close to him.
Sidney blew out a breath and said, "Sorry Mia and did not mean to go off on you like that. I am sorry".
"Apology accepted and please help us continue to keep the engagement a secret until we are ready to announce it" Mia said and then gave Sidney a hug.
"Great I am so glad we are all friends again" Kris said and went and got his suitcase. Then they headed to Sidney's car and then they headed home.

When they got home, Mia showed Kris her room and left him to get settled and she went to find Sidney. Mia found Sidney in the kitchen with a beer in his hand and he looked confused.

"Sidney are you ok?" Mia asked as she walked over closer to Sidney.
"What?" Sidney yelled at Mia.
"Why are you drinking and yelling at me" Mia asked confused as she then took a few steps back.
"Just leave me alone Mia" Sidney yelled again.
"No why are you so pissed. I don't get it".
"Mia, we usually tell each other everything that is going on in our lives and yet you had to keep your engagement to my friend a secret because you are pregnant too. Give me a freaking break!"
"Sidney, its not like I wanted to keep you in the dark about the engagement and I was going to tell you as soon as Kris got here actually but you saw the ring at the airport so now you know. I hope you are happy" Mia said as she started to turn away when Sidney grabbed her arm to stop her.
"Ouch you are hurting my arm, Sid" Mia cried out.
"I am not happy on how I found out but whatever its out now" Sidney said still holding Mia's arm.
"Let go of me now!" Mia exclaimed.
"No not till I know why you have to start keeping secrets from me, your best friend" Sidney roared at Mia.
"Its just like Kris said at the airport, because it was too much news at one time" Mia said hoping that would calm Sidney down but it did not. He grabbed her other arm to make her look at him. He looked furious so she gave in, "Because actually Kris and I are already married and my parents would kill me if they knew. You know they are not the biggest fans of Kris because of when I got pregnant as a teenager. I know they seemed happy but behind the scenes they were not happy at all so you see now why I did what I did". Mia explained as Sidney finally let go of Mia's arms.
"Holy cow, Mia, I am in shock but I will keep your secret and am here for both of you guys because officially Kris is now family too. Sorry about your arms. Are you going to be ok?" Sidney asked.
"Yeah but Kris might not be so nice because as you can see there are hand prints on my arms but I am fine" Mia said giving Sidney a hug.

Kris came into the room, "Hey I heard yelling. What's going on down here?" Mia turned to look at Kris and he saw her arms, "Darling your arms. Sidney what did you do to Mia?" Kris asked looking like he wanted to kill Sidney.
"I am fine and Sidney apologized about my arms and I told him about us already being married" Mia confessed.
"Congratulations Kris, be good to her or I will have to hurt you" Sidney joked.
"Thanks Sid and I will and sorry we had to keep it a secret but I am sure Mia told you why we did it" Kris said.
"Yeah she did and I promise my lips are sealed. I love you guys" Sidney said as Mia grabbed both guys into a hug.
"I love both you guys too" Mia said smiling and then Kris and Sidney each gave Mia a kiss on both her cheeks.

Chapter 8

"Bonjour, comment allez-vous?" Mia answered her cell phone.
"Bonjour, ma belle. Je vais bien. Comment allez-vous?" Kris answered back.
"I am feeling confused right now" Mia said sounding slightly upset.
"What's going on sweetheart?" Kris asked sounding worried.
"Oh boy well first off, I decided to wear my engagement ring around my neck for now" Mia said knowing that Kris would be confused and upset.
"Why are you doing that?" Kris said sounding annoyed.
"Because there is something I have to tell you that's very important" Mia said.
"What's up?" Kris asked.
"I am pregnant again" Mia said and prayed that Kris would be happy.
"Really" Kris said sounding surprised.
"Don't sound so shocked Kris. Good Grief! You know very well that when we made love we did not use protection so it makes total sense that I am pregnant again!"
"I am just surprised but very happy about this baby, Mia".
"I am happy too but I am scared because of the fact that I lost our first baby" Mia explained but knew that Kris would understand.
"I understand but we are older and know more so our baby will survive this time plus I love you" Kris said smiling.
"I am so happy that you are happy and I love you too" Mia said smiling too.
"Now I see why you decided to keep the engagement quiet for now because a baby is enough news for the moment" Kris said understanding Mia's decision.
"Thank you for understanding Kris and yes the baby news is plenty now but I can't wait to tell the world we are engaged" Mia said excitedly.
"Me too, sweetheart. Oh by the way I was thinking of coming down this weekend to see you, if that's ok?" Kris asked.
"Oh yes Kris that would be perfect".
"Great, well I will call you later on with my flight details. Sweetie, I need to go because Marc Andre will be here soon so we can go and workout. Have a great rest of your day and I love you and the baby" Kris said.
"Laters, hot stuff. Je t'aime" Mia said as they both hung up.


After her chat with Kris, Mia headed downstairs to find her aunt, and Taylor hanging out in the den.

"Hey Aunt Trina, Taylor" Mia said as she went and sat down on the sofa next to Taylor.
"Hey Mia" Trina said looking up from her book.
"I told Kris about the baby" Mia said.
Taylor looked up at her cousin and asked, "You're pregnant, Mia?"
"Yes I am" Mia said looking at Taylor.
"Oh boy this is great. I hope its a girl because girls are fun and we can buy her all sorts of cute clothes but if its a boy that would be cool too" Taylor joked.
"I just want my baby to be healthy and happy" Mia said and Trina nodded her head.
"I am glad you told Kris and what did he think?" Trina asked.
"He is happy and he is coming this weekend to visit and so we can figure out things for the baby" Mia explained.
"I am glad to hear that Kris is happy about your baby. It will be great to see him this weekend too" Trina said smiling.

Later on that evening Sidney showed up at his parents for dinner. As everyone was cleaning up Mia suggested to Sidney that they take a walk.

"You ready Sidney?" Mia asked as she waited on Sidney to grab a hat.
"Yep let's go" Sidney said as they headed out the door and of course Sidney was the prefect gentleman holding the door for Mia.
"Thanks" Mia said and then they were off.

After a few minutes of Sidney talking about all the craziness he had been doing for Reebok, Mia decided to change the subject, "Sid, I have something to tell you".
"What's up" Sidney said as they continued on their walk.
"I am pregnant" Mia stated.
Sidney turned his head and stopped, "Really wow! That's wonderful news. And I assume that Kris is happy too".
Mia stopped too and turned to look at Sidney, "Yes Kris is happy and it is great news but I do have concerns because of my miscarriage I had when I was younger".
"Hey this baby is going to be fine. I have a great feeling about this" Sidney said hugging Mia and then giving her a quick kiss on the forehead.
"Thanks Sid. I appreciate your support because you are one of my best friends".
"I would do anything for you" Sidney said and then they continued on their walk.

Chapter 7

Kris and Mia enjoyed a couple more days on their romantic vacation. They relaxed on the beach, checked out the sites during the day and at night they spent time alone being with each other and making love.

Mia was sad to leave Bermuda but she knew that the real world would have to start up again. She was heading to Halifax to visit more with Sidney, his family. Kris was heading up to Montreal to start some more serious training for the new season with his teammate, Marc Andre Fleury. He really wanted to be going to Halifax with Mia but he had promised Marc Andre they would train together for a few weeks.

They were at the airport waiting on their flights. Mia's flight left sooner than his so he sat with her until her flight was called.

"I hate that you are going to Halifax and I am headed to Montreal" Kris said.
"I know I hate it too but you promised me you would come and visit so I am counting on that" Mia said smiling at Kris and he leaned down and gave her a quick kiss.
"Believe me I plan on visiting a lot" Kris smirked.
"That sounds wonderful to me" Mia smiled leaning her head on Kris's shoulder.

Finally Mia's flight was called and she got up and so did Kris. He held her close and said, "I love you and am really going to miss you, sweetheart but I will call you as soon as I get home".
"I love you too, Kris and really don't want to go" Mia said hugging Kris tighter.
"I know" Kris said giving Mia one last kiss before she headed off to her flight.

Kris watched Mia getting onto her flight and she turned around right before she headed down the flight tunnel and waved to Kris and he blew her a kiss. Then Mia was out of Kris's sight and he went to the window and watched as her flight took off. He already missed Mia but knew they would talk soon. After her flight was out of sight, Kris headed to the waiting area for his flight.

Meanwhile Mia got comfortable in her window seat watching the clouds and listening to her ipod. Mia started to feel sleepy so she put away her ipod and got comfortable and went to sleep.

Mia's flight finally landed in Halifax and she was so glad to be on the ground but she wished that Kris was with her but she would see Sidney and that made things better. She got off the plane and headed with the rest of the passengers to the luggage claim. When she got down there she saw Trina and Taylor waiting for her.

"Hey Mia, its so good to see you" Taylor said smiling at her cousin.
"Hey Taylor, its good to see you too. Hey Aunt Trina, how are you?" Mia asked getting hugs from both Taylor and Trina.
"I am good. How was your flight?" Trina asked.
"It was good and I was able to sleep for most of it so it made time go by faster" Mia said as they grabbed Mia's bags.

After they got Mia's bags they headed to the car and then headed home. Once they got home they all headed inside and Mia went to get settled. As she was unpacking she felt nauseated and ran to the bathroom and threw up. Trina walked by and headed Mia in the bathroom.

"Sweetie are you ok?" Trina asked walking into the bathroom and getting Mia a washcloth.
Mia took the washcloth and wiped her face off and then sat down on the counter, "Man I have been nauseated and throwing up for a few days".
"Really?" Trina said looking concerned at her niece.
"Yeah but I think its just because of being in another country and eating new stuff" Mia explained but not sounding to convincing.
"Mia are you sure that's what it is and nothing else?"
Mia looked at her hands and then looked up at her aunt.
"Mia, have you and Kris become sexually active again and are you using protection?" Trina quizzed.
Mia bit her lip, "Yes we having been sleeping together and no we kinda forgot to use protection".
"Mia Elizabeth Crosby, are you pregnant again?" Trina demanded.
"Probably" Mia said knowing that her aunt was surprised.
"Well then you need to tell Kris and we need to get you to the doctor's to verify that you are pregnant" Trina said and Mia nodded her head in agreement.

The next day Trina and Mia went to the doctor's and sure enough the test came back positive. Mia was pregnant again with Kris's baby.

Mia was sitting on a window seat looking out the window when her cell phone rang so looked at the phone and saw that it was Kris calling.

'Oh boy' Mia thought as she answered the phone.
